Equal parts amusing and disturbing, the film takes us on a journey through an antebellum tourist destination at a crossroads as it grapples with a deeply troubled history that is so thoroughly ingrained in its present, we’re left to wonder if it’s actually past at all.

The Depot’s occasional play-reading series returns, this time presenting STARRING AMERICA, written by Julie Weinberg and directed by Maggie Low.

Depot Pride: Drag Cabaret
Saturday, June 20, 7 p.m.
A colorful, jubilant celebration of diversity, inclusion, acceptance, love, and LGBTQ+ pride, Drag Cabaret radiates open-armed joy, humor, and fun. Intended for ages 13+.
ALSO: Prior to the show, the queens will host an all-ages meet-and-greet. Free (tips are encouraged) and open to all.
Sometimes Sundays: KEEP ME WARM
Sunday, June 28, 3 p.m.
The third Sometimes Sundays reading of the month, KEEP ME WARM was written by Martha Pichey and will be directed by Scott Klavan.
